What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spray Booth Operator position at Ground Effects LLC?
Job Duties
· Prepares, primes, sands, seals, patches, cleans and paints truck beds, surfaces, utilizing all types of painting materials such as primers, polyurethanes, lacquer thinner finishes.
· Tapes, sands, repairs and applies texturing layers on a variety of surfaces.
· Has clear understanding of how to operate, clean and maintain all painting equipment. Including brush, sprayers, robotic spray guns and pumps, etc.
· Safely stores and labels all materials. Keeps records and submits reports of work.
· Erects scaffolding, rigging and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
· Can read, understand and communicate clearly work instructions.
· Ability to understand acceptable spray patterns, clogged mix chambers and tips.
· Understands tolerances of spray equipment and bed liner build tolerances.
· Capable of spraying bed liner using manual application equipment in the event of robotic failures, or repairs.
· Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
· Familiar with TS and ISO requirements.
· Knowledge of Robots and Robot programming a definite asset.
· Minimum Grade 12 education.
· Blueprint reading knowledge. Demonstrate computer skills.
· Must possess and maintain an appropriate and valid Driver’s License.

Experience:
- Painting, Coating & Spraying Machine Operators: 1 year (Preferred)
- health & safety: 1 year (Preferred)
- IATF 16949:2016: 1 year (Preferred)
- production: 1 year (Preferred)
- Manufacturing facility: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
