What is it like to be a Contracts Team Leader?
The Contracts Team Leader will fulfill a working leader role with in the team responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and administration of contracts and pre-qualifications on behalf of GPRS. This role requires regular communication and collaboration with external customers, company leadership, and multiple internal departments.
You will be able to make an impact performing, but not limited to, the following:
- Create and maintain a forward thinking process to organize and execute GPRS contract and pre-qualification needs.
- Build a cohesive, knowledgeable contracts team that efficiently and effectively accomplishes contract and pre-qualification goals while protecting GPRS interests.
- Serve the clients of GPRS through fair and smart contract negotiation and administration.
- Collaborate with the sales team in negotiating and developing agreements with both prospective and current customers.
- Direct engagement with existing customers to re-negotiate contract terms.
- Resolve issues escalated from team members.
- Identify and escalate potential contract related company risks to the Compliance Manager.
- Support team members by maintaining a collaborative team environment, providing constructive feedback, leadership, and support.
- Ensure terms, conditions, insurance requirements, billing requirements, payment terms and liability exposures are acceptable to GPRS.
- Coordinate with senior leadership team and legal to adjust liability exposure.
- Create a collaborative and cohesive team.
- Describe terms and conditions risks and offer mitigation ideas, participate in negotiations, and partner with sales and others in the process of offering compliant solutions to contracting requirements.
Here are the requirements (what we need from you)
- 4-year degree
- Minimum 3 years contract related experience
- Solid proficiency in managing various types of service contracts, with a strong knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions
- Experience negotiating contract terms & conditions
- Strong knowledge of contract language, principles, and procedures
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Previous successful team leadership and management experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and decision-making skills •Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members
