As the Associate Project Manager, it is essential that you possess strong communications, reporting, management and coordination capabilities. You must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required by the client/project. Candidates will be required to assist in the coordination and management of all aspects of projects to ensure the successful completion within the established quality, budget, time and operational parameters.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
- As extension of Owner staff, assist with coordination & oversight of Design, Construction Manager, and Special Inspection consultants.
- Provide regular schedule and budget updates; monthly report preparation; assist with obtaining approvals of ILSM and ICRA.
- Extensive document control, billings, contracts, subcontract, award letters, executive summaries, etc.
- Scheduling of meetings; notifications and reporting
- Change order review, processing, and tracking; review of monthly payment requisitions.
- Track construction manager’s daily reporting,
- Tracking of RFI’s and Submittals.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of presentations.
- Capability and willingness to perform inspections of job site conditions and project progress, as required, including after-hours and weekends.
Qualities
- As the Associate Project Manager, you must possess the following abilities:
- Strong communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Passionate and ability to learn to motivate and negotiate effectively.
- Possess a good grasp of the construction process and good understanding of MEP equipment.
- Experience in assembling project turnover requirements – submittals, O&M manuals, warranties/guarantees, etc.
- Attention to detail.
Experience
- Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture. MS degree a plus
- Healthcare, lab, pharma, or life science experience required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in project / program / construction project management of hospital/healthcare or MEP construction projects preferred.
- OSHA- 30 preferred.
- We encourage and support you in obtaining DBIA, CCM, PMI, PMP, or PE certifications.
Salary: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
