The Content team at Mindshare specializes in a variety of services including original content, media integrations, sponsorships, brand partnerships, on-site activations, influencer, and cause marketing.

Content is a creative, positive, hard-working group that strives to create fans of brands and to use insights and creativity to build the industry’s most innovative partnership programs for our clients.

We are searching for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful team player with a passion for corporate social responsibility to join our team.

To serve as key foundations for this position, we require a self-starter, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage a diverse project load, reliability, strategic and creative thinking, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Assistant Planner will be reporting to the Manager on the Content Fordcause marketing account. This position will serve an integral role in providing leadership and strategic and organizational insight to Ford’s grassroots programs, Drive 4 UR School and other cause marketing programs as assigned.

  • Drive 4 UR School is a national fundraising test-drive program that connects Ford dealers with their local schools and organizations while giving back to local communities.
  • The programs reinforce the importance of the relationship between dealerships and the local community and puts Ford at the forefront of community involvement while improving opinion and consideration for Ford vehicles.

Responsibilities :

Day to day communication lead for events; establish and maintain positive relationship management with all clients, national and local dealerships, booster clubs, program partners, etc.

Support management of event aspects related to data processing, website development, kit production and / or creative developmentIncludes maintaining responsibility for managing vendor relationships;

developing documents; creating and managing timelines; facilitating team reviews of program materials as necessary account, legal, creative, client; etc.

  • Ideate and develop materials to assist dealers, schools and organizations in hosting successful events
  • Assist in content production projects (video, print, production), including strategizing on content needs, writing briefs, overseeing timelines, etc.
  • Attend client meetings and present documents, deliverables and information to clients as necessary
  • Lead in conducting high levels of pre- and post-event outreach to participating dealerships, schools and organizations
  • Lead tracking various event information, including event schedules, dealer / school / organization outreach calls, kit and donation delivery, event changes, etc.
  • Assist with managing special event requests, making recommendations to clients
  • Support development of timelines, manage production schedules, adhere to deadlines, setting up internal / client meetings, ongoing team communication and meeting materials development for program
  • Help team by monitoring and compiling all program PR coverage, save, monitor and track good news stories to highlight
  • Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

You have

  • Experience in working with several different organizations at a given time, and have a strong interest in growing in the event and cause marketing space
  • Ability to effectively and confidently communicate information in both verbal and written formats (development of activation decks, event research and recaps, client presentation of new event ideas, etc.)
  • Experience forming strong working relationships with outside parties (clients, vendors, etc.)
  • Ability to address difficult issues, work under pressure, follow-through and solve problems quickly in the face of challenges
  • Shows entrepreneurial spirit, lead and encourage new break-through ideas
  • Team-oriented
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to show flexibility and adaptability; a creative / quick thinker
  • Financial acumen
  • Ability travel to local events whenever necessary (
  • One-year relevant experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
