The Role: The Regional Sales Manager requires a competitive spirit, someone who can work in a fast-paced environment with the ability and willingness to close a mix of complex enterprise and transactional deals. This role provides innovative solutions to meeting planners and organizations through their use of the GroupSync Marketplace. This role is responsible for creating, identifying, and closing sales. In this role, the Regional Sales Manager will utilize a consultative and solutions focused sales approach in specific geographical regions to secure new business and drive results.
What you will do:
- Have a passion and excel in cold calling, performing product demos both in-person and online, and creating long-lasting relationships.
- Heavy prospecting and exceed revenue targets by establishing influence with meeting planners in all market segments including corporate, association, and SMERFE through a variety of avenues such as personal appointments, presentations, phone calls, emails, social media, and industry events.
- Develop working relationships with various Hotel Sales Partners at a global, area, and on-property level.
- Excel in managing gatekeepers, influencing multiple decision-makers, and understanding the complexities of closing a transaction.
- Establish and cultivate an extensive professional network within the assigned geographical region with client and hoteliers.
- Facilitate and maintain consistent sales activity levels to ensure attainment of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Develop and maintain a high technical competency of Groups360 products, competitors and industry trends.
- Process and accurately document daily sales activity in Groups360 database.
- Collaborate with other Groups360 team members to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Surpass business expectations and contribute to our company’s rapid and sustainable growth.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in outside sales and Business Development.
- Experience in hospitality and/or enterprise software sales required.
- Extensive experience in account development and proven ability to close sales.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Excellent verbal, written and group communication and presentation skills; ability to utilize communication skills to effectively influence across functions and business units as well as across different leadership levels.
- Excellent organizational & analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to take ownership and get results.
- Strong empathy for customers and a passion for revenue and growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
Core Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Location: Mid-West or West Coast with an ability to travel 50 - 60% of the time
