The role: The Release Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the software builds and releases. The Release Manager will partner with software engineering teams to ensure best practices around design and development.
What you will do:
- Manage and execute the release of project deliverables and release life cycle.
- Communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending on defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
- Identify, manage and resolve risks that can delay a release, schedule or quality and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve those risks.
- Ensure releases are planned according to the timeline and commitments schedule.
- Schedule release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
- Develop plans for deployment as per the release schedule.
- Inform internal stakeholders of release plans and provide weekly updates on the release activities
- Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
- Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
- Devise improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of release experience.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of CD/CI pipelines.
- Experience working in a DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience in the use of Application Release Automation tools such as ElectricFlow, Puppet, etc.
- Solid understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture and operating system.

- Strong empathy for customers and a passion for revenue and growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint.
- Other qualifications as required.
Core Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, HYBRID; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.
Status: Full-Time, Exempt.
Location: Brentwood, TN, HYBRID (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
