What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trim Technician position at Grow Sciences?

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (trimming)

  • Prepares trimming station at the beginning of each shift for the processing of cannabis.
  • Processes dried cannabis flower by carefully trimming away sugar leaves and fan leaves.
  • Returns all trimmed cannabis, trim, waste and sift upon completion of each allocation to the Post Production Lead to record metrics.
  • Assists with Fresh Frozen harvests.
  • Ensures all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality, compliance, and successfully conforms to all state regulations, organizational standards and procedures, and security protocols.
  • Works successfully in a team setting, takes instructions well, and helps on tasks as delegated by Lead or Manager.
  • Manages time efficiently in order to meet productivity goals (minimum 454g per day trimmed), while consistently producing quality work at a steady pace.
  • Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation inside the processing area and participates in the clean-up of equipment and the workplace at the end of every shift.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (quality Control)

  • Performs product inspection for irregularities, particulates and other contaminants.
  • Verifies that raw materials meet specifications.
  • Ensures the product is “jar-ready” by properly trimming the cannabis without hedging the flower.
  • Documents non-compliance and works with Manager and/or Lead if further action is needed.
  • Submits all waste to the appropriate location for particulate identification or microbial analysis if needed, and disposes of, in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
  • Assists with raw material release and movement.
  • Supports internal & external audits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis plant.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current medical and recreational marijuana laws.
  • Experience in a dispensary, cultivation facility or assembly line production environment (1 year recommended).

Specific state regulatory requirements also include verification, confirmation or completion of the following:

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age; pursuant to A.R.S.
  • 36-2801.10
  • Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and/or the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S.
  • 36-2804.01
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check conducted by the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S.
  • 36-2804.01 and A.R.S.
  • 36-2801.10
  • Valid Arizona State Issued ID
