With continued growth comes opportunity, and we are currently searching for a Systems Administrator to support our Bethesda, MD office.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, support, and maintain infrastructure virtualization and hyper-convergence solutions, such as Nutanix AHV Hypervisor and Microsoft Azure.
- Provide operational backup and restore support for infrastructure systems with NetBackup and Veeam
- Experience with MS SQL and MySQL.
- Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on hardware and operating systems including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time, and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
- Consult and assist developers to develop Windows server and application hosting solutions.
- Perform the engineering and administration of web and application servers running IIS and Apache.
- Perform operational systems administration, engineering, and troubleshooting forWindows on-premises and in the Cloud.
- Support disaster recovery testing and recommend/implement solutions to continually enhance the resilience of the enterprise environment.
- Provide support for data center hardware for installations, upgrades, refreshes, and troubleshooting.
- Research, test and deploy security patches and vulnerability mitigation and remediation configuration changes.
- Provide after-hours and weekend support for reported outages.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support to the Service Desk for all supported systems
- Create and maintainStandard Operating Procedures(SOPs) and technical documentation.
- Experience or Knowledge with network storage Server such as Isilon and NetApp.
Requirements:
- Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance.
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree along with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in IT customer support or an Associate degree or H.S. diploma with at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
- The Desktop Systems Administrator shall have a Level 5 (NACIC) security clearance, or obtain a Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3.

- Demonstrated experience in consulting with end-users to identify and understand needs, as well as developing tailored solutions to address complex technical needs.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to collaborate and consult with diverse stakeholder groups.
