What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bail Bond Agent position at Grumpy's Bail Bonds?
Grumpy’s Bail Bonds has opportunities in multiple counties – Davidson (Nashville), Williamson (Franklin), Rutherford (Murfreesboro) - for a fabulous new bail bond agent seeking a unique job with a lot of freedom and a great team!
Job Description:
There is no “typical” day in the bail bond industry, but this is part of what makes the job interesting, fun and challenging. A bail bond agent meets all types of people in all types of situations. It is an agent’s job to communicate (mostly on the phone) with defendants (person arrested) and their potential co-signer (the person who will be bailing them out) and advise what the company needs from them to write the bond. The agent will utilize a company checklist and resources to vet the defendant and qualify the co-signer, complete the necessary paperwork, collect payment, and go to the jail to write the bond. Successful bail bond agents seek opportunities to network within the community and improve brand visibility so that when people need a bond, that agent is their first call. The agent must be available by phone when they are scheduled. The agent is required to communicate with the office the details of the bonds they are working. The agent may be required to appear in court on the company’s behalf from time to time. The agent is required to do his/her collections on bonds that he/she has written when payments are delinquent. As long as you are able to get to the jail quickly, you can take calls from anywhere – your home, the gym, the grocery store, etc., but agents also have 24-hour access to the Grumpy’s office. Somedays you will get many calls and some days you will get very few. We are seeking agents with availability overnight and on weekends. This job is perfect for somebody who finds the criminal justice system interesting and who wants to help people but doesn’t want to be tied to a desk.
