Loan Officer Assistant

Originates and closes retail mortgages and coordinates loan origination tasks for specific Mortgage Loan Officer. The position acts as a resource for Mortgage Loan Officer and supports the Sales team. 

Coordinate, conduct product, pricing, and compliance

Function as the systems expert for the Sales Office

Obtain outstanding loan conditions from borrowers 

Update LOS system with additional information, loan conditions, lock in rates, etc.

Assist in preparation and distribution of marketing materials

Interact with underwriting, processing, and closing areas to expedite loans in the pipeline

Communicate with attorneys regarding mortgage loan closings

Take applications/meet with customers 

Input application data to the LOS system, generate disclosures 

Obtain automated underwriting findings from LP/DU

Take phone calls from borrowers, answer questions - return calls with information concerning rates/programs/required documentation 

Communicate with Real Estate Brokers concerning status of loans in process

In manager's absence, act as the underwriting, secondary marketing, and closing liaison

Function as the product and pricing knowledge expert for the Sales Office

Assist MDO in placing difficult loan scenarios into the most suitable product

Create and generate marketing materials for the Sales Office

Originate and close a retail mortgage production pipeline
