Our testing sites are typically open Monday - Friday from 8AM - 6PM and Saturday/Sunday from 9AM - 5PM. Schedule and hours vary by site. RNs are expected to arrive 10 minutes prior to scheduled shift.
Summary:
Registered Nurses conduct COVID-19 rapid tests (antigen and antibody) and PCR tests in a safe manner on customers at our testing sites. RN must be able to work quickly and safely, providing a positive experience for customers while producing a good sample for testing. RN may occasionally be asked to intake patient questions, assist with result communication, and respond or direct to the MD, as necessary. RNs may occasionally assist with the Lab / Test processing as well. Nurses are provided with and expected to wear the proper PPE. Effective, collaborative communication is a must. Nurses will be supported by Runners, Administrative staff, and Lab Assistants; they work under the guidance of the MD or Charge Nurse and Site Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct COVID-19 antigen, antibody, and PCR tests on patients
- Ensure all information is properly documented with accurate patient information
- Provide top care during interaction and provide advice as able and/or redirect to the MD or CDC site
- Perform routine procedures and fill in patients charts as applicable
- Maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, etc.)
- Process tests in a timely, safe, and accurate fashion; following test - work with Runner to ensure test is delivered for processing
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Assist fellow team members and MD as needed
- May be asked to supervise and support Lab Assistants or other members of the team
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment in high-stress testing environment
- Comply with all patient privacy and information protection requirements
- Testing is conducted at vehicle; RN must be able to work in varying climates and communicate effectively with patients in such setting
Skills
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Knowledge of COVID-19 virus, testing methods, and care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them always
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- BSc or other diploma from a nursing program
- Valid nursing license
