Job Overview: Leading is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead a team of sales representatives specializing in local business advertising sales for their digital and targeted print media advertising. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in media sales, a proven track record of driving revenue growth, and the ability to develop strong relationships with local businesses.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales representatives. Set sales targets and motivate the team to achieve and exceed these goals.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies that maximize profits. Ensure the sales team is focused on selling advertising solutions to local businesses that meet the needs of local businesses.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Act as a point of contact for key clients and ensure their advertising needs are met.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges for business growth. Adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive consistent revenue growth by acquiring new clients and increasing sales volumes to existing clients.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide accurate and detailed sales forecasting. Report on team/individual performance and market conditions to senior management.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training programs to enhance the sales skills and product knowledge of the team. Ensure all team members are equipped to sell both digital and print media effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, creative, and editorial teams to ensure that the advertising solutions sold are effectively executed and align with client expectations.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Sales Manager leading a business to business sales team

- Strong understanding of digital and print advertising solutions a plus

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Ability to work cross functionally individuals from sales, to c-suite

- Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM software and data analysis.

- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
