Consumer Insights Manager

As a Consumer Insights Manager, you are responsible for nurturing and inspiring winning strategies for Global Wellness and the Centrum brand through your deep understanding of consumers and customers. You lead the development of transformational Insights across the Wellness category and support decision making as an integral part of the category leadership teams. You function as a trusted business partner and key advisor.

The Consumer Insights Manager also plays a leading role in the ongoing transformation of the Category Insights function by championing strong capabilities in areas such as digital & data, tech based and agile, iterative & behavioral learning approaches.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

Support Strategy and business growth

  • Own a comprehensive understanding of the business environment for the Wellness category and the Centrum brand.
  • Steer the development of strategic brand / category foundations incl. brand heart, strategic target, consumer journey and task maps.
  • Identify growth and profit opportunities by understanding drivers of evolving consumer, shopper and expert/influencer behaviour. Consider global self-care and digital trends in designing future growth path.
  • Recommend opportunities to strengthen, stretch or re-define brand architecture and product portfolio
  • Contribute to key brand leadership forums and business & financial processes with relevant inputs.

Drive brand asset development

  • Own a complete vision of the consumer experience, map the journeys and identify critical touchpoints to leverage for innovation, comms and product development.
  • Steer development of brand assets aligned with category strategy and markets, lead the design of comms and commercial assets.
  • Co–create media neutral ideas, support communications development across all touchpoints of the consumer journey to strengthen brand development, purpose and positioning.

Support transformation of the Insights function  

  • Recommend and embed advanced research / learning capabilities in the digital space, on tech based / connected health solutions and through more agile, iterative and behavioral approaches.
  • Integrate data analytics as a key component of insight generation and business understanding.
  • Contribute to learning & development programs at a cross-category level and beyond.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8-10 years experience in healthcare of FMCG
  • Specific experience working with cross-functional global teams
  • Experience of working across multiple markets and cultures through both in-market and global HQ roles
  • Experience with product & commercial innovation based on unmet, under-met or new consumer needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance and delivery.
  • Passionate to challenge the status quo and drive transformational change
  • Confident leadership style with excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication (written + oral) skills.
  • Self-starter, able to work effectively with limited oversight.
  • Strong business acumen with proven history of translating findings into actionable insights and driving results through influencing at senior levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple priorities under tight timelines with rigor and quality.

  • Utilize multi source information in a fast-moving environment.

  • Proven experience and ability to work in an agile, design driven fashion while adapting to a dynamic business context with rapidly changing infor-mation (incl. consumer needs) and priorities.

  • Able to support development of new platforms and concepts and influence the selection & refinement processes.
  • Capability to evaluate success of in-market launches and incorporate learnings/ recos for future market roll-out optimization and further innovation development.
