Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of production and plant equipment.
You will perform preventative maintenance, manage equipment repair documentation, and support equipment start-up and validation.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in equipment repair and maintenance, with a strong understanding of various mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities :
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring high standards for quality workmanship, safety, and housekeeping.
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment and plant facility equipment.
- Assist with the validation and start-up of new production equipment and processes.
- Implement and perform preventative maintenance measures for all manufacturing equipment.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as needed.
- Learn operations of shop equipment and assist in production when not working on equipment.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years of experience in repairing manufacturing equipment.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician with a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and other systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
- Capable of working overtime as needed to support equipment.
