What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Planning Leader position at Guardian Glass?
Guardian Glass is looking for a Master Planning Leader to join our team in DeWitt IA, Geneva NY or Richburg SC!
In this role you will own the process for plant level production planning and scheduling activities for one or more float plants. You will develop and maintain the key product level supply plan and ensure timely execution at the finite level. In addition, you will partner with finite schedulers and plant leaders to achieve an executable plan for each process/ department within the plant, develop a stocking strategy, and optimize inventory levels.

What You Will Do
- Manage finite scheduling staff and the scheduling process to achieve planned objectives
- Partner with Plant Operations and Customer Service to minimize service fails
- Translate output of RapidResponse (Integrated Business Planning tool) into actionable production schedules in M3 (ERP system)
- Manage supply planning assumptions in RapidResponse based on input from Plant Operations
- Develop stocking strategies based on historic demand patterns, commercial strategy, and customer contracts
- Partner with plant Warehouse and Shipping Managers to align inventory levels and available dock capacities
- Manage inventory stocking strategy and aging inventory to plan
- Collaborate cross functionally to understand demand forecast drivers
- Provide input on developing an inventory strategy on existing items, new products, and product phase-out
- Domestic travel up to 20% (between plants)
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience with planning and/or finite scheduling
- Experience making data-based business decisions and recommendations
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and present information graphically)
What Will Put You Ahead
- APICS certification
- Kinaxis Rapid Response or experience with another integrated business planning tool
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management

For this role, we anticipate paying $90k-$120k per year.
