Accounting Director

We are an established Accounting and Business Management firm seeking a highly-skilled, reliable and detail oriented Accounting Director. This is a full-time position in our Westlake Village, CA office.

To succeed as an Accounting Director, you should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Business Management experience is highly desirable.

Candidate will ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company procedures as well as federal and state regulations.

Must be an expert at QuickBooks, have a positive attitude and like to work.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure accounting operations are completed accurately and on time

· Oversee staff of accountants and manage workflow

· Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures

· Assist with preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End Reports

· Prepare specialized reports for clients

· Coordinate financial audits

· Annual 1099 filing

· Prepare all local tax returns: Property, Sales and Use Tax

· In depth year-end reviews

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA a plus.

· Expert knowledge of QuickBooks and proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

· Minimum of 5-7 years of general accounting experience to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and financial statements

· Effective leadership skills and experience managing staff

· Ability to prioritize in a fast paced, multi-task environment

· Requires strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve

· Excellent communicator

· Must possess strong work ethic with a desire to exceed expectations and be a team player.
