Responsibilities
The candidate will support logistic acquisition, operation, and sustainment for MDA weapons systems as well as compile information for and develop briefs for MDA senior leadership. The analyst will also coordinate with Technical Design Activities (TDAs), vendors, logisticians, and engineers to define initial and revised acquisition and supportability requirements for developmental programs and rapid capability planning.
- Integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environment
- Direct the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance
- Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped
- Develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.
Qualifications
- Degree: BA/BS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment and/or related field with 4 years relevant experience; OR AA/AS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment, and/or related field with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- Security Clearance: Secret
- Experience working as an effective team member providing logistics support capability and solve complex life-cycle logistics problems.
- Ability to apply sound judgment to develop life-cycle logistics policies, plans, procedures and documents.
- Ability to identify and apply concepts, policies and practices of logistics management as they apply to new and legacy systems during the acquisition and sustainment phase of the life-cycle.
- Ability to use applicable methods and tools to effectively mitigate risks, including planning for risk, assessing risk areas and developing risk management options.
- Experience executing and maintaining product support requirements for Government Furnished Property GFP), transportation, Property Accountability, non-tactical vehicles, Item Unique Identification (IUID), and Communication Security mission equipment and requirements.
- Experience identifying and applying logistics product data and making recommendations regarding legacy/operational products and services for improvement during operation and sustainment of the life cycle logistics phase.
Demonstrate purchasing and procurement, packaging, handling, storing, and transporting, receiving and issue, and inventory management of various product support equipment, repair parts, tools, consumable items, hazardous materials in CONUS and OCONUS.
Additional Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with MDA weapon systems and associated technologies, including international programs and the technical aspects of applicable DoD and MDA instructions, policies and processes
- Demonstrated technical achievements supporting MDA programs
- Demonstrated experience providing innovative solutions to keep programs ahead or on schedule and within budget while maintaining performance goals
- Military or DoD related program office experience
- Experience with Project Management, presentations/briefings, and Military Organizations
- Experience applying DoD mandates, policies, and technical requirements
