What You Will Do **:
Guidehouse is making significant investments to expand the company's presence in market access. Our team provides global strategic planning, pricing, evidence/coverage, reimbursement policy, and health economics strategy services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Our client services range from pre-commercialization market access strategies to working with managed care organizations to develop policies affecting the use and payment of our clients' novel interventions. Our team is able to deliver on a diverse toolkit which aims to be differentiated within the life sciences pricing and market access space.
The Associate Director role is a highly visible and challenging position that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective strategy consulting. This role requires a keen ability to engage clients and lead project teams in effectively delivering projects of the highest quality. In addition, an Associate Director identifies business opportunities for clients as new or follow-on work. Associate Directors aid in the facilitation of writing of proposals, leading new service lines and effectively coaching/mentoring junior team members. The ability to assume complete ownership of significant projects while at the same time being a part of and leading a close-knit team is critical.
Specific responsibilities include:
Developing comprehensive market access (coding, coverage, payment) and pricing strategies for novel medical device, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic technologies
Experience in designing evidence strategies to support product access and coverage goals
Experience developing pricing and health economic strategies, including advanced Excel modeling
Support development and review of project deliverables to ensure proper framing of strategic issues, use of appropriate methods, and that documents are up to client standards
Facilitate client presentations and manage ongoing relationships
Manages multiple projects simultaneously of all varying sizes and durations
Must be able to coach a diverse group of employees, identify critical milestones, and hold teams and individuals accountable for project milestones and deliverables
Act as a people manager for junior staff
Must be a talented consensus builder
Actively support in business development and project sales cycle
Manage and develop staff, including performance management
Create and oversee execution of internal initiatives to build a stronger division, such as training, process mapping, quality improvement, etc.
Willing to travel as projects required, pending COVID restrictions
What You Will Need* *:
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS, JD) preferred
6 years of prior work experience in the healthcare industry; experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, and/or health economics is required, with at least 4 years management consulting experience
Candidates should be able to clearly communicate the clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a deep interest in healthcare, market access and reimbursement. We seek candidates with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong conceptual, qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
Strong project management skills are imperative for leading multiple teams
Candidates should be strong team players, take initiative, and think strategically and creatively
What Would Be Nice To Have* *:*
The annual salary range for this position is $142,300.00-$284,500.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
