What You Will Do:
Senior Data Analyst role will be part of a data analytics team supporting a large Intelligence Community Agency with data process improvement, data management, and creating performance metrics and business intelligence for business optimization. The candidate will be required to analyze large and complex data sets, including a thorough aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses; selecting and applying the appropriate analytical techniques in order to increase organizational efficiency and provide knowledge of data engineering/analysis applications to extract knowledge to help predict, explain, or analyze research questions. The candidate will coordinate with non-technical users to identify data analytics needs support and use facilitation skills and techniques to elicit requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.
The candidate should have comfort in working with cross-functional teams to present, analyze, update, and view technical data sets with qualitative and statistical analysis. The candidate must have the ability to translate complex problem sets, metrics and assessments into coherent, communications products to brief senior-level officials.
Assess data and analytics capabilities and identify areas for improvement or opportunities to better align data operations with the business strategy
Implement data management practices and frameworks
Work with geospatial data holdings to provide on-demand data access to the user community
Collaborate with the Government to develop, integrate and continually improve data management processes
Work independently and as a team member on assigned data and/or process improvement projects
Work with data scientists to develop systems and methods for hydrographic product line performance metrics
Compile quality assurance technical reports for customer decision-making
Comply with sprint-schedules and Agile development methodologies
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree
FIVE (5) years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer or Data Scientist (Analyst) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
Experience working with and extracting data (querying) from databases, as well as integrating disparate data sets
Experience developing and visualizing metrics
Experience creating relational databases such as MS Access, ability to do statistical analysis, and well versed in analyzing large datasets
Advanced knowledge of Python; knowledge of SQL and/or R
Familiarity with the following tools: PostGRESQL, Dash, ArcGIS, Gitlab
Familiarity operating in an Agile development environment
Experience deploying Flask applications and designing intuitive user interfaces with querying capabilities
Knowledge of data science, including the areas of data services, modeling, and analytics
Experience in planning and organizing
Excellent communication and customer skills (both verbal and written)
Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
What Would Be Nice To Have:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
Tableau
AWS and other cloud services
Experience working with geographic data (features, attributes, geometrics, etc.) and techniques (KML, GeoTIFF, shaprefiles, etc.)
Familiarity with Elastic Stack capabilities
