Position Summary Information

Basic Function
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Student Accounts, this position provides support to other Office of Student Accounts operations to satisfactorily resolve student issues as needed. This position is also responsible for analysis of student accounts, student accounts billing, payments and cash receipts, and bank deposits.

Duties and Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with students/parents to resolve questions/queries on their account
  • Analyze and prepare student billing and mailings
  • Bill delinquent, inactive student accounts
  • Work directly with Director of Student Accounts on special projects related to analysis and
reconciliation of past due accounts
  • Post payments on student accounts and other miscellaneous payments, and preparation of bank deposits
  • Update students’ records for outside billing agencies
  • Make funds available on ID cards
  • Coordinate and reconcile Monthly Installment Payment Plans
  • Set HOLDS, update waivers, and post miscellaneous transactions
  • Participate in all student registration sessions as required
  • Prepare refunds and reimbursements on student accounts
  • Other tasks as may be assigned by the Director of Student Accounts

Minimum Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
College coursework, primarily in business and finance-related courses are required.
Successful work experience in Accounting, Business Management, Finance or related field is preferred. Must have cashier, reconciliation of cash and basic finance experience. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be accurate and detail-oriented. Banner system knowledge is preferred.
