WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The TBJL Career Coach is a non-exempt position responsible for meeting with clients one-on one and guiding them through every aspect of the job-search process and creating realistic job-search and career plans. The Career Coach will also develop and facilitate interative in-person and virtual small group workshops. TBJL clients include, but are not limited to, individuals in mid-career transition, women re-entering the workforce after a hiatus, military veterans transitioning to the civilian workforce, young people struggling to launch their careers, mature workers not ready or able to retire, the long-term unemployed, high-risk individuals, and those with disabilities.
- Work with the part-time career coaching team and program director to build new job-search and career development programs, cross-pollinating with other GCJFCS programs and community partners
- Plan, develop, and deliver content for educational programs and coordinate monthly program scheduling

- Work one-on-one with clients guiding them through their job search from start to finish
- Manage a case load of 20 or more job-seeking clients for individualized coaching; maintain client case records and collect data in a timely manner
- Work with clients in various stages of their career development and job-search process
- Teach clients to utilize current job-search tools, resources, and strategies
- Guide and assist clients in developing relevant job-search skills, such as preparing effective résumés and cover letters, practicing interviewing and networking techniques, and utilizing social media in job-search activities
- Develop and present material, and facilitate both in-person and virtual small group programs and workshops
- Demonstrate professional presence and serve as a role model for clients
- Evaluate clients interests, aptitude, values, education, experience, and skill levels for the purpose of identifying appropriate career directions
- Help clients identify suitable employment opportunities
- Identify barriers or challenges to employment
- Collect statistical data, and prepare weekly reports
- Perform other duties as required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- A Bachelors degree and a minimum of three (3) years of career coaching experience
- Experience in outplacement, workforce development, HR recruiting, or staffing company with a focus on career coaching and workshop development and delivery within the last two years.
- Résumé writing experience is desired, but not required.
- Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
- Experience with career and personality testing desirable.
