Gulf Coast Property Management (GCPM) assists property owners and investors with the business of renting their rental homes. We bridge the gap between property owners, residents, and guests by providing professional marketing, leasing, and management services on their behalf. We are currently recruiting for the position of Vacation Rental Account Manager. You will be trained in our processes and procedures. Please bring a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile. The right candidate should be self-motivated, detail oriented, tech savvy, organized, and have a great attitude. We are a small team, and we need people who possess the drive to help us succeed and grow. This is a FAST-paced industry and self-direction is critical.

Based in our southern region from Sarasota to Port Charlotte and reporting to the Director of Vacation Rentals, you will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of properties and their owners with a help of a qualified team. You will strive to continually improve property owner, guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the Dept.

What does this role require to be successful?

Client Relations

  • Develop and grow a relationship with the owners in your portfolio through education and proactive communication
  • Meet standards of professionalism related to owner and guest satisfaction by acting as the liaison with internal departments
  • Respond timely with support of your team on guest and owner issues
  • Meet with owner to review their account and property performance.
  • Work with Business Development Manager to transition new onboarding owners and properties while sticking with a set timeline and utilizing task related software
  • Maintain industry and company policy knowledge to show expertise relating to property management including dynamic pricing and asset management - with the ability to perform a cost-benefit analysis

Property Condition

  • Occasionally conduct inspections if necessary (inspection team is onsite for majority of inspections)
  • Communicate property condition to property owners, making recommendations for repairs and/or improvements
  • Work with Maintenance Coordinator on communication of repairs on properties, liaising with vendors and property owners to ensure repairs are made in an efficient and economical manner while holding vendors accountable to standards of work

Guest Relations

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and strive to continually improve property guest satisfaction
  • Liaison with Guest Services Team to take proactive approaches when dealing with guest complaints/concerns
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests while responding timely to guest services department requests

Education and Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in the hotel or vacation rental industry
  • 3 years demonstrable experience in managing accounts

Technology Skills

  • Technical computer skills required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Professional in all forms of communications such as email, phone calls, video calls and texts
  • Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
  • Highly responsive and reliable with strong attention to detail

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed.
  • A company vehicle will be provided for traveling between worksites and properties.
  • Occasional need to perform housekeeping and maintenance duties.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
  • Reach overhead and below the waist, regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist.
