Job Overview
The individual will work in either the Vault or a Jackpot window for their shift. When assigned to the Vault, the individual is responsible for the accountability and safe operation of the Vault. The person will perform high volume internal transactions, prepare deposits, receive coin/cash orders, receive funds from the Soft Count, and reconcile the Vault on the Vault accountability sheet. When assigned to a Jackpot window, the individual is responsible for the processing and paying Jackpot transactions with our guests. The individual is also responsible for the recording of Title 31 transactions as required by the Casinos Title 31 policy. The individual will be knowledgeable in all taxable and Title 31 regulations as they pertain to Casino environment and will handle high volume cash and non-cash transactions. Performs other guest and internal transactions as required. The individual will easily compute all monetary transactions. Accurate transaction and balancing practices, as well as strict adherence to the department policies and procedures are necessary to maintain integrity of the Cage operation. The individual must have a professional, friendly and courteous manner, in their interactions with both our guests and with other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all job functions in compliance with the departmental procedures and all company and state/federal regulations.
- Accurately performs transactions efficiently in a guest friendly manner.
- Fosters positive relations with both our external and internal guests. Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees, and Gulfstream Casino personnel.
- Additional or different responsibilities or duties, which are consistent with the position summary, may be assigned at the discretion of the Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
- Maintain general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
- Performs guest and internal transactions.
- Processes and pays taxable and non-taxable Jackpots.
- Assists in promotions, the security of non-monetary assets, and other duties as assigned by the Cage Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Working knowledge of a Windows computer and basic software applications, and prior Casino Cage, Main Vault experience in a Bank, or an equivalent level of experience is required for this position.
- The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain in good standing a Professional Employee Occupational License.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
