Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
- Requisitions, organizing and preparing quality foods according to diet menu.
- Follows standardized recipes and accurately portions according to daily census and production sheets.
- Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards. Clean and sanitized equipment and work area as needed.
- Monitoring, replenishes and records food usage.
- Labels, dates and store food in a safe manner.
- Maintains proper food temperature at prep and throughout service.
- Operates and maintains a variety of standard kitchen equipment; reports faulty equipment as necessary.
- Provides orientation training of employees as cooks.
- Ensures compliance with state, local and regulatory agencies as it relates to food.
- Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
