Gundersen Health System is recruiting for a full-time optometrist at the eye clinic in Whitehall, Wi. in the newly constructed Tri-County Hospital, opened July 2023! This location is a general optometry practice with an emphasis on primary care, including ocular disease, geriatrics, contact lenses, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery patients. The practice setting is the perfect combination of a hospital setting in a small community with a private practice feel. Outreach ophthalmology from La Crosse, WI will visit regularly. The Eye Department at Gundersen consists of board-certified ophthalmologists and optometrists working as a team delivering uncompromised quality care. Eye Clinics are located in several locations within our WI, MN and IA service area and all use modern, state of the art equipment.The Whitehall clinic sits in a picturesque community which is ideally located between the La Crosse and Eau Claire metros, offering tremendous cultural and outdoor activities. The successful candidate must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.
