Job Description

Gunderson Dettmer is seeking a full-time Endpoint and Application Deployment Analyst to work from our Redwood City or San Francisco office. We are looking for a motivated and energetic candidate who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to multiple challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. This position will provide support to building and maintaining client image, deployment of new software’s and latest versions of firm used business applications. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently to solve unique problems are necessary.

The Endpoint and Application Deployment Analyst is primarily responsible for the architecture, implementation and maintenance of the organization applications desktop infrastructure environments including installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, and software deployment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform secure baseline image creation and tailoring of Windows operating system images for specific hardware configurations from a common core baseline.
• Support application packaging, deployments, documentation, and release control in an Enterprise environment.
• Create / maintain custom task sequences and other custom code for front-end image management.
• Conduct sanity testing of images before it is handed out for QA testing.
• Maintain documentation and checklists of various tasks and activities in the areas of responsibility.
• Validate that each image meets the supplied requirements and internal quality guidelines.
• Deploying new and latest version of software to end point systems.
• Create, maintain software deployment and file synchronization packages.

Core Competencies and Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems including configuration, customization and automation.
• Experience with Dell Kace platform and Microsoft Endpoint Management is a huge plus.
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Management is beneficial.
• Knowledge of best practices for imaging and application packaging.
• Ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Must be highly organized, proactive, and collaborative.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be flexible and agile to meet quick turnarounds and hard deadlines.
• Knowledge of MS Windows registry, Office Applications, and computer drive imaging technologies.
• Flexible to work outside of business hours as needed to troubleshoot and resolve business-impacting issues.
• We will consider candidates who can work from any of the satellite offices (New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, Boston, Ann Arbor) however preference will be given to candidates that can work from Redwood City or San Francisco office.
