Human Resources Officer

Job Title: Human Resources Officer Contract Type: Permanent Time Type: Full time Job Description: We are looking for a HR Officer, who will be based in Houston, Texas. He/she will be report to the Regional Head of Human Resources - Americas and be responsible for administering and overseeing Payroll, benefits plans associated with Payroll, and HRIS reporting in our HRIS system “Workday.” The responsibilities of this position include managing and improving Payroll and other administrative practices where applicable. Main Responsibilities Oversee the payroll process, and retirement benefits administration, for GUSA and Clearlake entities in the United States and Canada. Assist in automating and optimizing the payroll process, as well as assist in exploring solutions to integrate payroll from the Colombia and Argentina entities into one process for the Americas. Administer and be the point person for the 401K Plan, including but not limited to the annual 401k Audit process. Administer the pretax benefits of the HSA and FSA accounts Responsible for the annual US Census survey requirements Assist employees on short term disability and manage the payment process Be the point person for ad-hoc Workday reporting needs with the assistance of the global HRIS team Assist the local HR team in maintaining employee record information in Workday by recording hirings, transfers, job changes and terminations Assist the HR team during the onboarding process by providing information packets, gathering withholding and other payroll information, and obtaining signatures for documents Profile A Bachelor’s or Associates degree required 5-10 years’ work experience, with at least 3 with involvement in payroll High attention to detail The ability to keep employees personal information highly confidential Team player but also able to work independently Good communication skills in order to discuss matters with senior management, corporate lawyer, business counterparts and external advisers Demonstrates integrity at all times. Punctual, precise, hands-on mentality and service-oriented Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred Workday experience a plus Equity or Shareplan vesting payroll experience a plus Fluent in English, Spanish a plus Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS office applications If you think the open position you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply!
