About the Role:

We are on the hunt for motivated sales professionals with a passion for building and maintaining strong relationships and aren’t afraid to prospect and generate new business through direct outreach to prospective customers. The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for prospecting for new customers, setting meetings with prospects to introduce the Gurucul platform, assisting in acquiring new logos for the company, and meeting established targets and KPIs contributing to the overall success of the Sales organization and the company.

We have an immediate opening for a Business Development Representative with a proven track record of success to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the VP of SME & Business Development, this role serves as a critical member of the sales team and is responsible for driving top-of-the-funnel lead generation for the mid-market and enterprise sales teams. This is a results-driven position that requires you to consistently achieve weekly and monthly quotas around qualified customer meetings.

How you impact the Gurucul vision:
  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation for account executives via outbound phone, email and social outreach
  • Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in Salesforce CRM
  • Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified meetings scheduled
  • Build and execute an outbound prospecting cadence to reach target prospects
  • Work closely with Account Executives to develop prospecting strategies
  • Respond, qualify and distribute inbound prospect inquiries fielded via web forms, phone, and other lead generation vehicles to
  • Provide our clients with effective value proposition
  • Rapidly learn about Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Identity Access & Analytics, UEBA, and more.
  • Source and qualify prospects using a variety of business intelligence platforms (Pardot, Outreach, Zoominfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator)
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
  • Generate qualified first meetings within target accounts for your Account Executives
  • Disseminate opportunities to appropriate Account Executives, educating rep as necessary about the opportunity
  • Travel as required to marketing events such as conferences and trade shows
Who You Are:
  • At least 1 – 2 years of sales development or business development experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to understand a target audience and identify the right prospects
  • Proven track record achieving measurable inside sales/sales development goals in a past-paced sales environment
  • Experience with outbound phone calls and emailing
  • Proficient in Salesforce or other Client Relationship Management (CRM) solutions
  • Highly motivated and willing to take intelligent risks
  • 4-year College degree preferred

SALARY:

$50,000 – $65,000 per year
