GVI, Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Motor Transport Commodity Lead in Albany, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Performs Motor Transportation Equipment maintenance tasks.
- Applies knowledge of logistics and supply support requirements and techniques.
- Applies knowledge of Marine Corps policies, regulations and precedents applicable to planning and program execution.
Requirements:
General Experience: To be creditable, the candidate must possess the specialized experience necessary to accomplish and successfully execute the sustained, integrated logistics support assignments and demonstrate a range of knowledge of logistics and supply support requirements and techniques.
- Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
- Ability to plan and organize work; and
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Marine Corps policies, regulations and precedents applicable to planning and program execution.
- Possess proven ability to deliver complex support requirements on time and within budget
- Possess strong experience in operating effectively in challenging operational environments.
Specialized Experience:
Candidate must possess experience that equips the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that which is typically in or related to the work of the Motor Transport Maintenance commodity SME. Experience should demonstrate:
- Minimum of ten (10 ) yrs. Motor Transportation Equipment maintenance experience across the enterprises’ diverse array of motor transport assets, to include but not limited to: Mine Resistant Assault Vehicles (MRAP), 7-Ton trucks (multiple variants), High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) (multiple variants), Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), Logistics Vehicle System (LVS), associated fifth wheels/trailers, etc.
- Experience should include: supervision of motor transport maintenance activities, coordination of equipment evacuation for repair, requisition of needed parts and management of maintenance reporting requirements.
Required: Ten (10 ) years’ of experience in the Motor Transport maintenance field with Motor Transport Maintenance Company and/ or Transportation Battalion and/ or Division Truck Company experience required.
Prefer:
- Prefer a senior Motor Transport leader with fifteen (15 ) yrs. of Motor Transport maintenance experience across the spectrum of US Marine Corps Motor Transport asset systems and platforms.
- 8 yrs. experience supervising Motor Transport maintenance activities as the MTM Company Cmdr./ MTM CO SNCOIC, and/ or Platoon Cmdr, /SNCOIC, Section Leader, etc.
- Preferred former US Marine Corps CWO Motor Transport Maintenance Officer or Senior SNCO
- Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) experience a plus.
