Job Summary:
We are searching for a physically agile warehouse driver to fulfill deliveries and assist in the warehouse when they aren’t on the road. Our Warehouse Driver is a vital part of our Warehouse team. They are highly organized, reliable, have a great customer service track record, and enjoy communicating with people. This position involves loading and unloading of vehicles (some heavy lifting is involved) and delivering items and packages to job sites, clients, General Contractors, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow directions from Warehouse Manager, Field Supervisors, Project Manager, and Sales Staff regarding deliveries.
- Familiar driving around Colorado. (Mostly day trips)
- Safely unload materials on job sites as directed.
- Operate Forklift and/or Lull on job sites when needed.
- Oversees the sale loading of delivery vehicle to ensure the order is accurate.
- Obeys all traffic laws and weight restrictions.
- Assist with Warehouse organization such as staging, loading, and inventory.
- Assist with shipment preparation (UPS, Speedee, etc.).
- Prepare padded plywood.
- Assist with Building Maintenance.
- Occasional demolition and/or construction may be required.
- Occasional off-hour/overtime
- Standard business hours, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
Qualifications:
- Proven safe driver with a valid driver’s license including an air brake endorsement.
- Experience driving a box truck.
- Capable to pass the DOT Health Certification.
- Able to communicate in a professional manner with customers, tradesmen, vendors, etc.
- Confident and efficient self-starter.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- Pre-Trip inspection knowledge.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Follow safety guidelines outlined by Safety Director and/or Warehouse Manager.
- Stand or walk for 8 hours.
- Must have the ability to lift both arms overhead.
- Must possess keen vision and hearing.
- Ability to work outdoors, indoors in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, in high places, and in excavated areas.
- Must be able to climb a ladder, scaffolding, and stairs.
- Must be able to kneel, stoop and squat often.
- Ability to swing a hammer.
- Arm, hand & finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling, and feeling.
- Ability to use hands and power tools.
- May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching, and near cranes and moving equipment.
- Will work in close contact with other people.
