CNC Machinist 2 $24.00 - $35.00/ Hr.
***100% On-Site in Oxnard, CA***

A CNC Machinist 2 sets up and operates CNC & manual machines to produce parts per specifications during production operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows safety requirements within the department.
Access and understand daily and weekly schedules.
Find, read and follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad).
Inspect machined part.
Correctly use all precision measuring instruments to verify part integrity.
Correctly load and unload parts.
Set and manage tools including knowledge of tool life and tool wear.
Make any machine adjustment to maintain part integrity.
Restart the machines at the required place in the operation.
Set-up machines and produce good parts when given programs, fixtures and a tool list.
Identify the proper gages to ensure part integrity.
Train Operators to run the machines and produce good parts upon completion of a set-up.
Troubleshoot most technical issues.
Maintain machines (oils, coolant, filters, and cleanliness).
Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.
Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.
• Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
• Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Minimum Qualifications
Understands how to fixture a part.
Understands proper cutting tool selection.
Reads and understands blueprints.
Understanding of CNC program editing if applicable.

Education
High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus an additional one to three months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
