Repairs Assessment Coordinator

Reports To: Associate Director of Repairs

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am - 4:30pm, (40 hours a week with a 30-minute lunch daily)

Work Environment: Work is performed primarily outside the office 75% of the time assessing homes for repair request and conducting audits of contractors work. The remaining time is spent in the office completing administrative paperwork.

General Statement of Duties: The Repairs Assessment Coordinator conducts home visits to homes that have applied for repair work. The Assessment Coordinator will review the information submitted and during the home visit determine in accordance with the grant program requirements what repairs are needed. This may require using ladders and accessing small spaces. Data entry and general office duties are required. Strong computer and communication skills are essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting home visits to determine scope of work
  • Based on assessment create a scope of work for each home
  • Follow up on job site to ensure the quality of work and that work is completed in a timely manner
  • Position requires managing multiple task in a time critical manner
  • Maintain relationships with contractors and clients
  • Data base management.
  • Answering phone and emails
  • Filing confidential information
  • Performs special projects and all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must use courtesy, patience and tact when dealing with clients and contractors from diverse socio-economic backgrounds

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Three years construction experience and extensive knowledge of all aspects of residential construction

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Good Driving Record

Be able to climb a ladder and access small spaces

Project Planning

Time Management

Interpersonal communications

Attention to detail

Organizational skills

Associates Degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
