What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Installer position at Habitat Horticulture?
We are seeking a temporary Installer for the next couple of months in the following areas: Irvine, Venice and Malibu.
Habitat Horticulture designs, installs, and maintains vertical gardens and green infrastructure with an underlying philosophy that seeks to promote the psychological and environmental benefits of plants in urban settings. We have built a strong reputation by providing thriving installations for clients such as Tesla, the California Academy of Sciences, Facebook, Salesforce, the SFMOMA, and many others.
Job Tasks:
- Help implement the installation of the living wall structure framework, irrigation plumbing systems, and planting
- Operate various mechanical lifts; including scissor lifts and boom lifts
- Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks
Requirements:
- You must have a minimum of 2 years (verifiable) experience in construction and/or landscape construction
- Must have proficiency with equipment and power tools used on commercial projects
- Physical ability to carry a minimum of 50 LBS
- Scissor lift/Boom lift certifications required
- Positive attitude and ability to take direction
- You must have reliable transportation, be extremely dependable, and flexible with work hours.
- Available to work between the hours of 6 am - 3 pm. Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the project
- Ability to work from heights
