In this role, the successful candidate Position has supervisory responsibility over daily operations, projects and maintenance staff. The Supervisor will have the responsibility for the proper operation of hospital equipment, and in the absence of Department management will assume responsibility for departmental operations. Duties include the monitoring of office computerized systems, teaching and training different trades, the inspection and upkeep of all rooms, public areas, machine rooms and alarms.
Responsibilities
1. Supervises the activities of Team Members that are engaged in general repair and maintenance of mechanical systems and the other infrastructure elements that support these systems.
2. Responsible to complete on-going performance reviews.
3. Supervise daily operations and maintenance staff.
4. Distribution of work orders and check for completion.
5. Teaching and training trades as needed.
6. Supervise minor construction and painting projects.
7. Inspection and upkeep of all mechanical room.
8. Conducts monthly fire drills and critiques.
9. Conducts staff meetings and/or team huddles as directed.
10. Responsible for payroll and scheduling.
11.Conducts periodic rounds/inspections in all areas of the facility, including exterior grounds, to ensure the environment is safe and well maintained.
12. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
13. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
2. Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in a maintenance or construction/trade related field.
3. Must have previous healthcare experience.
4. Must have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
