The Welding Fabrication Supervisor oversees the fabrication of material and installation of products. This position is responsible for coordinating a team of welders focusing on safety, quality and delivery of product to internal and external customers. This position will also provide training and performance feedback to their direct reports.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the fabrication team to ensure manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
- Selects equipment, planning the layout, plan the assembly and welding procedure.
- Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
- Repairs product using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
- Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
- Builds up worn or defective surfaces.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Uses plasma equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts, using TIG/MIG on aluminum, stainless steel and other materials as needed.
- Assembles parts by bolting.
- Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to document individual work orders.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Willing and able to be forklift certified.
- High school Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 2-year certificate from technical school and minimum 3 years welding experience or a minimum 5 years’ welding experience
- Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience required
- Experience coaching and developing employees
