GIS Analyst – Jacksonville, FL

GIS Analyst responsibilities include creating and editing geospatial data, creating static maps and publishing web maps. This includes but is not limited to working with enterprise geodatabases, LiDAR and terrain datasets, ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online. Working in a team environment, the position also assists in data reporting, data review and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to work on a variety of teams in different capacities.
GIS Analyst Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certification in GIS, Geography, Geology, Computer Science, or other discipline related to GIS
- Two years of experience with the Esri suite of GIS software
- Proficient in ArcGIS Pro 2.x
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, and improve workflows
- Accountability for successful completion of tasks
- Familiarity with water resources and/or public works-related applications of GIS
- Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work
- Technical communication skills
GIS Analyst Desired Skills:
- Understanding of database management best practices
- Interest in staying current on uses and applications of geospatial technology
- Model builder or python for workflow automation preferred
- Collaboration skills
- QA/QC implementation
- Strong work ethic
