Overview:
Halifax Health is seeking a Scheduler.
Summary:
This individual schedules all elective surgery and notifies the appropriate departments of pertinent information involving equipment or staff to ensure a smooth flow of the daily schedule. This scheduler will work closely with the physicians, their office staff, anesthesia department, management, and other related departments.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Good communication and organizational skills required

Must be self-directed and have excellent interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of medical terminology

Accuracy in spelling, grammar and communications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and database applications

Professionalism in interpersonal communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently

Ability to prioritize and multi-task
