WORK OBJECTIVE
Salary is based on experience and / or qualifications, and is subject to negotiation
Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of park grounds, athletic fields, landscaping, open spaces (undeveloped land including green space, medians, streets, lots, etc.
Operates a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles in the operation, repair, and maintenance of City parks, beaches, athletic fields, and / or open spaces.
Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by some experience in parks, grounds, and / or facility maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and / or experience.
Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment. Must have or be able to obtain first aide, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External (AED) certifications within three (3) months of hire.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In order to move on to the next phase of the application screening process, you must attach proof of education. Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience;
