Job Overview:
Under the direction, often working independently and providing leadership for others. Responsibilities include development/acquisition, maintenance, and/or support of one or more applications in an assigned technology, SAP systems, or functional area (e.g., process simulation, document management, payroll, etc.). Job role contributes directly to value creation. The position is responsible for administration, management, configuration, documentation, Vendor management and end-user support of ERP ECC and S/4 systems. This includes Basis support SAP S/4HANA Cloud, GTS, Solution Manager, Charm, Business Warehouse, Redwood Job scheduler, NW Java systems, Database Administration support and 3rd party systems like OpenText. The position is also responsible for installing, migrating, and upgrading SAP systems. Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures relating to the operation and support of the SAP environment, covering change management, including backup/restore, disaster recovery, and audit.
Job Duties:
Participate in and provide leadership for analysis leading to requirements/specifications, estimates, and system designs.
Performs and oversees programming, quality assurance reviews, documentation, system deployment, training, and project setup/support, often involves performing project setups, analyses, designs, etc., for/with customers.
Effectively managing work via the vendors and maintain environment stability with continuous focus on the optimizations.
Similar duties are often associated with selecting, acquiring, installing, and configuring applications licensed from third parties, and interacting with vendors is required.
Researches and makes recommendations on software technology direction.
Supervises others; allocates and monitors work; coordinates similar activities within a functional area. Interprets and applies directions originating at a higher level.
Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.
