WHO WE ARE:
The Assortment Planning role is part of Hallmark's Integrated Business Planning department. This department is responsible for the E2E planning process that delivers against Hallmark's business and financial goals. The Integrated Business Planning functions include merchandise planning, retail planning, and demand & inventory planning across multiple Hallmark product categories. The Assortment Planner will partner across these planning functions along with the Analytics, Merchant, and Customer organizations to deliver assortment plans that meet consumer needs, enable strong retail execution, and optimize financial results. We're looking for an Assortment Planner who is ready to dive in and bring their expertise and play a significant role in implementing and driving transformational change in the assortment planning process.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Key accountabilities of this position include:
- Develop and optimize assortments within the defined space and product segment level that maximizes revenue and margin.
- Assist with functional testing, training, and work process development for the Retail Store Planning team in implementing Blue Yonder CatMan suite of tools
- Implement best in class assortment planning capabilities and serve as a lead functional expert in building assortments leveraging Blue Yonder to run category/assortment analytics (CKB, Assortment Optimization)
- Influence and provide leadership to ensure the growth of needed skill sets to meet the process changes brought about by the new systems and tools.
- Translate corporate strategy and goals into business rules to ensure alignment with financial objectives
- Create assortment tactics considering inventory requirements, space constraints, financial goals, transferable demand, ranking, and product families
- Collaborates with merchants, advanced analytics, and customer teams to define the category role and strategy, understand the consumer decision tree and customer insights
- Partners with merchants, customer team, and merchant financial planning to establish a strategy for new program placement and cluster targeting that will result in effective implementation and execution at retail and alignment with financial objectives
- Prepare and review reports and metrics to evaluate assortments and performance goals.
- Refresh and update sales performance data for each planogram version
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of professional work experience
- Minimum 3 years of Assortment Planning experience
- Experience with Blue Yonder CatMan Suite tools
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume will stand out if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of Assortment Planning experience
- Demonstrated functional and hands-on experience leveraging and executing Blue Yonder CatMan Suite tools to run category/assortment analytics for CPG company
- Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and strong organizational skills, resilient problem solver, analytical thinker
- Strong aptitude for process management
- Capability to collaborate with all levels and parts of the organization
- Must be flexible and adaptable to the demands of a fast-paced environment with simultaneous multiple demands and priorities
- Product management experience/expertise
