What are the responsibilities and job description for the AR/AP Specialist position at HALO Home Access?
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable and Payables Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring collection of rental payments, accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. Accounts Payable duties include ensuring proper accrual and posting of payables into Yardi Voyager, gaining proper management approvals, and facilitating payments.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts and incoming rental payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables and payable data
- Prepare accurate rental billings, invoices and review bank deposits
- Post invoices, monitor payables and cash management
- Reconcile the accounts receivable and payables ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Facilitate payment of rental invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable and accounts payable status
Skills
- Proven working experience as accounts receivable and/or payables clerk
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience in operating excel spreadsheets and accounting software (YARDI Voyager software, Site Manager RentCafe)
- Proficiency in English and in MS 365 Office
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance and/or Accounting

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
