REPORTS TO: School Director
BASIC FUNCTION:
Working under the direction of the school administrative team. The server is responsible for properly serving the school lunch meals. Maintaining an ordering, clean environment during the lunch periods.

EMPLOYMENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and ability to serve meals in the appropriate manner and portions sizes prescribed by the NSLP (National School Lunch Program). Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and/or Federal Bureau of Investigation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
REPORTS TO: School Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully complete 4.0 hours of training each school year as mandated by the Office of Child Nutrition/ODE and Summit Academy.
- Maintain a professional attitude/relationship with students, staff, and family members.
- Arrive on-time for duties.
- Keep an accurate count of # of lunches prepared/ served for each lunch.
- Maintain records of temperature checks for the cooler(s) (twice daily).
- Record temperature of all hot and cold food items before serving to students.
- Accurately measure food amounts by following the given calendars/measurement charts.
- Organize and maintain all supplies needed for daily service.
- Inventory all cooler items and reports to secretary as necessary for ordering purposes.
- Communicate with the delivery food service, secretary and administration regularly.
- Professional Casual Attire (plain shirts with no insignia, pants without holes, etc.).
- Maintain a clean workspace including regularly cleaning/sanitizing of all coolers/shelves.
- Be able to be on your feet for approximately 4 hours.
- Independently lift 10-20 pounds.
- No supervisory responsibility.
