Full Job Description

Job Summary

Hammond Academy is accepting candidates for building custodial workers, willing to work days or evenings, M-F.

Candidates must be motivated, self-starters, and team players. Flexibility and open-mindedness are also essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

Custodial duties include, but are not limited to:

  • sweeping
  • dusting
  • mopping
  • bathrooms
  • classrooms
  • hallways
  • administrative offices
  • light repair work (tables, chairs)
  • indoors and outdoors (depending on weather; trash collection, snow removal, etc.)
  • garbage collection
  • windows
  • building repairs (i.e. scrubbing and painting walls)
  • moving furniture (for special events or preparation of cleaning large spaces)

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates will preferably possess a high school diploma and experience with large scale building maintenance and cleaning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

We currently operate a mask optional policy. We sanitize the building regularly.

  • Hammond, IN 46320: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
