What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardening Assistant Volunteer , Residential Aged care in Cardiff position at HammondCare Volunteers?
As a HammondCare volunteer in Cardiff, you'll engage with people living with dementia, in aged care, pottering in the garden, tending the plants, planting and growing vegetables and watering the gardens. There's no hard labour involved, just an opportunity to give back and share your love of gardening.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the residents you are matched with.

Requirements
Ideally you'll be available 1-2 hours per week for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to chat with you about a suitable day.
