Scope: A laundry attendant is responsible for washing, drying and folding all hotel linens. Responsible for cleanliness of the hotel laundry and inventory of supplies. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper.
Major Responsibilities:
- Sorting wash into appropriate piles to be washed.
- Loading washers and programming cycles.
- Setting dryer temperature to appropriate settings
- Folding linen when dried.
- Stocking shelves with clean folded linens
- Changing chemicals when needed and reporting inventory when supplies are low.
- Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of the laundry area and storage closets including sweeping, mopping and organizing of assigned areas.
- Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and for the operating conditions of equipment.
- Assisting housekeepers with stripping of beds and other guest room linens.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
