What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Hampton Inn Clarksdale?
- To be knowledgeable and to enforce the rules, regulations, and policies of Delta Lodging Group and the brand in a professional manner
- To be knowledgeable and proficient in performing tasks related to our group sales process
- To be knowledgeable and proficient with all Brand Standards and quality assurance requirements for the property
- To be knowledgeable and have proficient utilization of brand applications.
o This is to include but is not limited to: BOSS, NOW article, SALT, Guest assistance, Tally, Lightstay, and Pulse report
- Ensure all daily and weekly reports are properly completed and sent to appropriate recipients.
- Create Heart of house schedule following Delta Lodging Group policies with general manager approval
- To be knowledgeable and proficient with inventory control and ordering materials and items necessary for hotel operation and guest use.
o This is to include but is not limited to: Sysco Food, Guest Supply, Barnes Paper, etc.
- Assist and prepare hotel and staff for any upcoming Quality Assurance inspections by ensuring all Hampton Inn brand standards are being enforced.
o You will notify and update ownership, operations, and city management team of any projects or property needs, as they may arise.
- To be knowledgeable and proficient in property and guest room inspections per Delta Lodging Group and Hampton Inn standards.
- Promote open communication on all hotel operations between staff members, departments, and with all levels of management
- Retain property position as Hilton Honors Champion and continue to promote and report on enrollment status regularly
- Assist the general manager with training of team members in all departments to his/her discretion
- Listed on chain of command to accept calls from team members needing assistance. Calls that may impact hotel operation costs (such as rates, discounts, or shift/labor changes) should be filtered to general manager. If unsure, call general manager for support.
Per Delta Lodging Group Standards, the Assistant General Manager Trainee (AGM-T) schedule requirements are as follows:
- (3) high occupancy 3pm - 11pm shifts per week (Monday- Friday) will be covered by AGM
- Saturday, If GM is off the AGM will work Manager on Duty (MOD) 8 am-5 pm.
- Sunday, the AGM will work Manager on Duty (MOD) shift of 8am – 5pm
This scheduling will be dependent upon staffing and hotel operations, and may be subject to change.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
