What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Host position at Hampton Inn & Suites?
A Host/Hostess is responsible for preparing and serving the daily free breakfast bar/evening refreshments, greeting each guest at breakfast/evening reception, and ensuring that guests are 100 percent satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Providing personalized service to all guests
- Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar/evening reception in an attractive, organized, clean, standardized, and abundant-looking presentation
- Taking inventory of food, beverage, and supplies needed for each day
- Ordering or purchasing food supplies
- Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrate
- Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers
- Setting up services dishes/tray, utensils, cups, and other paper products
- Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated, wiping up spills, and removing trash
- Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed
- Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage
- Performing deep cleaning projects in the kitchen/work area as needed and maintain cleaning logs
- Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities
- Providing information to guests about local attractions/services
Requirements
- Prior food and beverage experience is preferred
- Prior hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong initiative and work ethic
- Customer-service oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
