What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseperson/Housekeeping position at Hampton Inn?
Responsibilities
- Vacuum & sweep floors & Mop as needed
- Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.)
- Changing linen and making beds
- Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items
- Remove used & Replenish guest amenities and trash
- Inspecting rooms for safety hazards & report it to maintenance
- Completing assigned deep-cleaning projects
- Reporting lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room problems (e.g. pets in the room) to a supervisor
- Maintaining storage rooms and stocking carts
- Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities & local attractions/services
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience is a plus
- Strong initiative and work ethic - Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance with a strong attention to detail
- Customer-service oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
