Job Description: USED CARS TECHNICIANS
Location: Acura of Orange Park, 7200 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 32244
Skills Required:
- Experience in working with used cars
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on used cars
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
- Using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify problems
- Performing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles meet state and federal regulations
- Communicating with customers about repairs and maintenance needed
- Keeping accurate records of all work performed
- Working with other technicians and service advisors to ensure customer satisfaction
- Continuing education and training to stay up-to-date with new technologies and repair procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
- Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership
