Position Purpose:
The Regional Manager is responsible for oversight and business development within their assigned territories. This includes strengthening the business relationships between the company, insurance carriers/clients, territory managers, and independent roof inspection sub-contractors. Ensure all aspects of insurance carrier/client satisfaction within assigned territories are met and develop business relations with prospective customers. The Regional Manager supports two divisions, Field Operations (60%) and Business Development (40%), and will therefore report to both the National Field Operations Manager and Director of Carrier Relations. The incumbent will have supervisory oversight over field operations employees within their assigned territories. Although this is an indoor environment position, it may be necessary for the Regional Manager to conduct inspections of steep and/or high roofs from time to time. This position will require travelling (25%) to different locations for meetings to include attending trade shows, conferences, and other sponsored events. The position exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters that directly impact business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
FIELD OPERATIONS (60%):
- Manage the team of field operations employees within the assigned territories.
- Directly responsible for all aspects of carrier/client satisfaction within assigned territories.
- Responsible for the investigation and resolution of customer inquiries and escalations.
- Ensure that work of independent roof inspection sub-contractor meets client expectations.
- Maintain proactive communication with internal departments to ensure that assignments and service schedule meets carrier expectations.
- Ensure that inspections are completed in a timely manner and that service level deliverables are met.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (40%):
- Use Salesforce software to develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier/clients.
- Liaise between the company, carrier/clients, territory employees, and independent roof inspection subcontractors.
- Conduct regular meetings with Field Managers to ensure appropriate service level quality.
- Prospect and develop new customers through business development networking and referral efforts.
- Develop and submit quarterly business plans including claim volume goals and targeted relationships.
- Travel to different locations for business development meetings to include attending trade shows, conferences, and other sponsored events.
OTHER:
- Oversee territory expansion efforts and recruitment of subcontractor resources.
- Perform inspections of steep and/or high roofs as well as the following:
- Prepare and electronically submit inspection summary reports which include photographs and diagrams.
- Prepare and maintain reports, records, and correspondence concerning claim inspection activities, business development activities, and carrier feedback.
- Install and remove tarpaulins on damaged roofs according to carrier/client specifications.
- Conduct re-inspections as needed and/or requested by carrier/clients.
Qualifications:
- 5 year experience in roofing or general contracting related field.
- 2 years of management experience.
- Ability to quickly understand job specific requirements, complex carrier/client inspection specifications, and regional volume capacity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel and customers
- Strong negotiation and business development skills
- Effective leadership and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of workplace safety and adherence to industry standard inspection methodologies.
- Proficient in Salesforce software as well as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, goal-oriented, organized and take pride in their work
- High school graduate (Some college education preferred)

- HAAG certification preferred
- Rope and Harness certification preferred
- Insurance industry experience preferred
Environmental Factors:
- Work is normally performed indoors in a typical office environment but may occasionally be required to perform work outdoors.
- Work may be performed on rooftops that will regularly exceed 20 feet in height.
- Possibility of travel to locations outside of the office environment.
Scheduling:
- Position requires daytime availability and may also include nights, weekends and extended hours for business development purposes.
- Work hours will depend on operational needs.
Physical Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object.
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach above shoulders.
